This is not to be confused with the non-padded wheel covers that bikebag.com also sells. Why hasn't anybody else thought of this? Here is the best way to store and transport your expensive wheels when traveling. The two wheels are offset and held in position by a special 'hub-house'®. Now you can safely check your wheels when flying to your next event. Each side is protected by a full 2 cm (7/8 Inches) of high density foam (EVA). Fits both 700cc (29er), 650cc and 26" mtb wheels (even super wide downhill tires). On larger MTB tires you should reduce the pressure to a very low amount (leaving sealant inside!!) to protect the rims from the side. If these look similar to the SRAM or ZIPP wheelbags, that's because I designed them and produced them for many years before they moved their design HQ to Taiwan.
Constructed of heavy-duty 600D Polyester "Cordura-like" blue material. bikebag.com Logo printed on both sides. Internal pocket for holding quick-release levers. Plenty of room for extra clothes, due to offset of wheels. Hub-House® protection: Plastic-rubber protector reinforced on both sides and on divider between the wheels to prevent damage of the hubs and hold the wheel in place. Low-profile cross section since wheels are hitting at the hub. Dual wide webbing handles for easy carrying. Includes a padded shoulder strap, which can be removed when checking.
